I don’t like Skip Bayless

Standard

I have made no secret of how much I detest Skip Bayless, Stephen A. Smith, and Jeff Van Gundy.

When Jeff Van Gundy is one of the announcers during a basketball game, I remind everyone of how much I don’t like him.

When Stephen A. Smith and his loud, obnoxious mouth defended Jerry Jones, I called him out for how goofy he was being and wrote about it.

Skip Bayless has finally caught the heat from my pen today because his latest actions have caused me too want to cuss him out.

If you aren’t familiar with him, John Edward “Skip” Bayless II is a 71-year-old white man whose sports career “peaked” before college. He has never played a college sport or a professional one, but he has excelled at writing and providing commentary about the people who do.

When Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin was critically injured in Monday night’s game against the Bengals, Skip wondered on Twitter whether or not the league would cancel the rest of the game, and then he asked how they could do that with so much riding on said game.

He was immediately rebuked by most of Twitter for the tweet, and on Tuesday morning, Shannon Sharpe did not show up for their show, Skip and Shannon: Undisputed. Online speculation ran wild, with most people concluding Sharpe didn’t come on the show because of the tweet.

This was confirmed when Sharpe returned this morning, and as he sought to discuss his feelings about the incident, the mediocre white man in the room immediately cut him off and kept interrupting him.

Watching it this morning, I had some thoughts.
