As you may already know, tomorrow April 1, anyone with a legacy verified account on Twitter will lose their blue checkmarks unless they are willing to pay $8 a month to Elon Musk. So Jonathan Majors' lawyer(s) released these text messages as evidence that he did nothing wrong, and I don't think these texts accomplish what they were meant to accomplish. If anything, they make things look worse? The latest issue of my newsletter, "off the record," is out, and it's a new weekly feature inspired by my friend @michaelharriot called "Monique's Mailbag."
